1 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />Village of Mayfield <br />July 21, 1969 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in regular session at the Village <br />Hall on Monday July 21, 1969 at 8:15 P.M., Mayor Busa, presiding. <br />The P7~edge of Allegiance to the Flag was given, followed by one minute of <br />silent prayer for our astronauts. <br />Roll Call: Present - Mayor Busa, Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, <br />Donaldson, Schmidt and Davis. <br />Absent - None <br />Mr. Davis, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro, moved that the minutes of the June 16, <br />1969 meeting be accepted as written. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt <br />and Davis. <br />Nays -None <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Accepted <br />Old Business <br />Progress Report of Gasoline Stations - Texaco case is pending in Court of <br />Appeals, The Standard Oil ,case has been advanced for Nov. 17, 1969. <br />Local Income Tax Mrs. Maynard reported that the Local Income Tax records <br />will be ready for checking in August 1969. <br />Sesquicentennial - Mr. Donaldson reported that all of the bills were in, but <br />not all of the money from the sale of commemorateso He feels that it is just <br />a matter of time until the ledger balances. Mayor Busa would like a list of <br />people who worked on the Sesquicentennial Committee, to thank them for a job <br />well done. <br />Kenwood Drive - The construction work on Kenwood Drive has been completed. <br />Leeds Computer - Chief Shortle reported that the computer is in operation <br />and that they are very well satisfied with it. <br />SOM Center Widening - Mr. Fitz-Gerald reported that two meetings has been <br />held with residents on SOM to determine a way to finance the extension <br />of the sewer. They received practically no cooperation at the June 5, 1969 <br />meeting. Mayor Busa read a letter that he had written to the State depart- <br />ment explaining our situation and the imperative need of extension of the <br />sewer. There is a possibility that they might act upon this lettero The <br />widening of SOM has been postponed for a year. They will repair the present <br />road. Alternatives were discussed. Mr. Hovancsek stated that Mayfield Village <br />has to sign a consent Ordinance for the widening of SOM accroding to State <br />specifications. Mr. Edelman said that Council could refuse to sign. <br />Drainage Ditch - Southwest corner of 271 and Wilson Mills Rd, - Mr. <br />Hovancsek reported that the walls of this ditch are very steep and hazardous. <br />
