1 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING Village of Mayfield July 21, 1969 The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in regular session at the Village Hall on Monday July 21, 1969 at 8:15 P.M., Mayor Busa, presiding. The P7~edge of Allegiance to the Flag was given, followed by one minute of silent prayer for our astronauts. Roll Call: Present - Mayor Busa, Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt and Davis. Absent - None Mr. Davis, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro, moved that the minutes of the June 16, 1969 meeting be accepted as written. Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt and Davis. Nays -None Motion Carried Minutes Accepted Old Business Progress Report of Gasoline Stations - Texaco case is pending in Court of Appeals, The Standard Oil ,case has been advanced for Nov. 17, 1969. Local Income Tax Mrs. Maynard reported that the Local Income Tax records will be ready for checking in August 1969. Sesquicentennial - Mr. Donaldson reported that all of the bills were in, but not all of the money from the sale of commemorateso He feels that it is just a matter of time until the ledger balances. Mayor Busa would like a list of people who worked on the Sesquicentennial Committee, to thank them for a job well done. Kenwood Drive - The construction work on Kenwood Drive has been completed. Leeds Computer - Chief Shortle reported that the computer is in operation and that they are very well satisfied with it. SOM Center Widening - Mr. Fitz-Gerald reported that two meetings has been held with residents on SOM to determine a way to finance the extension of the sewer. They received practically no cooperation at the June 5, 1969 meeting. Mayor Busa read a letter that he had written to the State depart- ment explaining our situation and the imperative need of extension of the sewer. There is a possibility that they might act upon this lettero The widening of SOM has been postponed for a year. They will repair the present road. Alternatives were discussed. Mr. Hovancsek stated that Mayfield Village has to sign a consent Ordinance for the widening of SOM accroding to State specifications. Mr. Edelman said that Council could refuse to sign. Drainage Ditch - Southwest corner of 271 and Wilson Mills Rd, - Mr. Hovancsek reported that the walls of this ditch are very steep and hazardous.
