Council could not educate the people. He still hopes '~ <br />that there is something that we can hang on to. We can only blame ourselves. <br />Mr. Comella said that there are same groups that say they cannot get away with'. <br />it. He hopes that they cannot. <br />Mr. Fitz-Gerald said that his feelings are well known. He hopes that we sari .. <br />.all pull together. <br />Mr. Bordonaro is dissapointed in Highland Heights. 'I'~iinks that the deueloper <br />is showing his true colors. He thinks that we should still keep our m~:f~xe~dum. <br />Mr. Donaldson stated that he had seen contracts that had not materialized.. <br />Mr. Bordonaro said that he was not interested in the developers' problems, <br />only the problems of the people. <br />Mr. Donaldson `said that he was sorry that we had forced the issue. We have <br />lost five large purchasers and put up road block after road block. The <br />hostility in the community has affected the feeling of the buyers. <br />_ Mayor Busa said that all of these points a~ well taken. The people of the <br />Industrial Park know what they are doing. They are making their own rules. <br />Law is not meant to serve this type of purpose. It is a known fact that if <br />Highland Heights does:, ac quire the Industrial Park , they must exercise .: .. ': <br />their Zoning privileges. They might rezone it for high rise apantments.. We <br />intend to come out victorious. Honestly does not believe that they 'could use <br />one administration against another. <br />Mr. Howard Schulz does not feel that a referundum is the answer.' No citizen <br />is able to answer. Council is in possession of basic knowledge., He puts his <br />faith in Council- they are here to represent us. Legislation should come <br />from the council chambers. <br />Mayor Busa appreciated the confidence that Mr. Shulz showed in this administra- <br />tion. It is a known fact that the Industrial Park asked for variances. <br />Dollars and cents prompted them, To quote a resident of Highland Heights, <br />this move is about as honorable as stealing from your mother." Lights have <br />burned every night to one or two in the Village Hall since this issue came up. <br />Theme are many people in Highland Heights who do not respect this proposal. <br />Mr. John Leech wondered if it would be possible to have a conference. with the.. <br />owners of the Industrial Park. Mayor $usa stated that he would like to do <br />this, had tried with no success. <br />Mr. DeTillo asked that each Councilman be polled and give his opinion of-the.. <br />annexation. Mayor Busa stated this was out of order but would permit comments. <br />Mr. Donaldson thinks that we are beating a dead horse. He feels that Highland <br />Heights is acting properly. <br />Mr. Edelman pointed out that the Gounc~lmen had shown their disapprovhl bye'-~=-~. <br />their vote on the Resolution. <br />
