Mayor Busa said that this was a <br />subject for the Safety and Service Committee to evdlnate and <br />presented the petition to Mr. Schmidt. <br />4. The weed problem near Rto 271 was discussed. That portion belongs <br />to the State, but we will mow it. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Fitz-Gerald <br />Mr. F`ltz-Gerald read the minutes of the Sept. 8, lg6g meeting. Mr. Bowen, <br />representing the High Rise on Wilson Mills was asked to bring in more de- <br />tailed plans, <br />The question of the Bondi property being a two family house was discussed. <br />Mr. Bondi claimed that it had been converted to a two family house in 1g27, <br />when Jessie Fisher was living there. Mr. D'Agostino will explore the matter <br />in more detail and bring his findings to the Safety and Service Committee <br />meeting. <br />Safety and Service - Mro Schmidt <br />Nlro Schmidt read the minutes of the. Sept. 2, lg6g meeting. Bids are out for <br />an air conditioner for the Police Department. <br />Mr. Schmidt, seconded by Mr. Davis, made a motion to advertise for bids for <br />a new Police Caro <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs> Comella, Fitz-Gerald. Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt <br />and Davis. <br />Nays - None <br />Motion Carried <br />Literature. for a truck for snow removal is being studied. <br />Mr. Schmidt informed Council that he had received a bid of ~ 630.00 from <br />the Great Lakes Roofing & Siding Coo for replacing the roof on the Village <br />Hall and ~ 200,00 additional for replacing the gutters and downspouts. <br />Another bid of ~ 625000 for the roof was received, however; they did not include <br />the gutters and downspouts. <br />Mro Comella suggested we insist on baked enamel over aluminum as the upkeep is <br />even less than for galvanized steel and the cost would be less in the long run. <br />Mr. D°Agpstino doubted tie price of ~ 200,00 quoted by Great Lakes could be <br />for aluminum gutters. <br />Mr. Schmidt, seconded by MrQ Davis moved to accept the Great Lakes Roofing & <br />Siding Co. bid of ~ 630,00 to replace the roof on the Town Hall. <br />
