6. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt <br />and Davis. <br />Nays - None <br />Motion Carried <br />Mr, Hovancsek will contact the Bonding Company and tell them that we are not <br />satisfied with the road. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said that he had contacted the Independence Excavating Company <br />and had prepared a punch list, They did not show up for a meeting. He will <br />try again, if.they do not show up for a second meeting, he will contact the <br />bonding company. <br />Service and Building Departments - Mr. D'Agostino <br />The Service Department has flushed the culverts, raised a catch basin at <br />Zorn and Hickory Hill, used 8 toy of tar for repairing and sealing the cracks <br />in the Village streets. Mr. D'Agostino says that we will have another month <br />for repair work on the roads. <br />Six-.building permits have been issued the previous month. <br />Fire Department - Chief Hejcl is away on another chore. There has been several <br />fires the .past month. <br />Police Department- Police Chief Shortle <br />Chief Shortle gave a report for the month of August. There has been a number <br />of house break ins the past month. <br />Mro Hovancsek is preparing a aketch of Sanitary District No. 3. <br />Clerk-Treasurer - Mr. Lockemer <br />The Standard Oil Case has been mentioned. The case of. Thomas Maynard, who <br />was previously injured on a bicycle, will be heard Oct. 21, 1969. <br />The amount of X18,982.00 has been alloted to the Village of Mayfield for <br />1970 from the Local Government Furid. This more than the amount received last <br />yearn <br />Mr. Comella - In regards ~o the annexation, Mr. Comella understands that there <br />is a group of people in Highland Heights who are petitioning to place the <br />issue on the ballot, <br />Mr. Donaldson - Reports that there is a group of people in Mayfield Village <br />who are trying_to see what can be d"one to ,promote harmonyo They will meet <br />at the Village Hall on Tuesday Sept. 16, 1969. <br />Mr, Schmidt - Mr. ScY~midt passed <br />Mr. Davis- Reported that they did get one vote of sympathy, when they <br />challenged the right of Mr. Paris to vote in November. Mro Reich prepared <br />the document and was there with our lawyer. <br />
