~' <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />Village of Mayfield <br />April 20, 1970 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met im regular session at St. Bartholomew <br />Church on Monday, April 20, 1970 at 8:00 P.M., Mayor Busa, presiding. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Pres.~nt - Mayor Busa, Messrs. Leech, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Boger, <br />Schmidt and Davis. <br />Absent - None <br />Mr..Sehmidt asked that on-Page 2 of the-March 16, 1970 minutes, concerning the <br />reason for termination of the lease between the Village of Mayfield and the <br />County Commissioners, read " the property is unfit for recreational purposes." <br />Mr. Schmidt, seconded by Mr. Leech, moved that the minutes of the March 16, <br />1970 meeting be approved as amended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Leech, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Boger, Schmidt & Davis. <br />Nays -.None- <br />Motion Carried <br />`Minutes .Approved <br />Old Business: <br />Annexation -The petition for anne~eation of the Industrial Park to Highland Hts. <br />has been withdrawn. The Industrial Park remains-in Mayfield Village. <br />Freeway 1-290 - Mayor Busa and Mr. Hovancsek agreed that the-subject of ~-290 <br />being dead , be regarded with a slight degree of suspicion. <br />Widening of SOM Centex- Mayor DeJohn asked to block traffic on SOM Center Road <br />from Mayfield Road to Wilson Mills Road. Mayfield Village agreed to do this. <br />After many complaints from local residents and merchants from Eastgate, Mayor <br />Busa prevailed on Mayor DeJohn to move the barricade-from Wilson Mills to <br />Ridgebury Blvd. <br />Liquor Permit Request- The Liquor Board .from Columbus reported that the <br />application for a liquor permit has been withdrawn. <br />Sanitary Sewer System <br />Mr. Hovancsek reported. that he had reviewed the plans and specifications of the <br />proposed improvement of the Beech Hill pumping station as well as the Bonnie- <br />view Road comminuter station. Mr. Hovancsek made the following recommendations <br />to the Mayor and Council: <br />1. Auxiliary Power <br />The pumping stations and comminuter iauilding should have sufficeint aux- <br />iliary power to operate all comminuters , pumps, lighting and other <br />appurtenances simultaneously during the entire period of a power failure. <br />
