. ~; ~' 3. <br />Beech Hill Pumping Station: There has been no response from county~~engineers <br />since the suggestion was made to move the million gallon holding tank at <br />Bonnieview pumping station to behind the Mayfield Junior High School and <br />~j fencing the contaminated area. Mr. Boger suggested another letter. Mr. <br />Hovancsek stated there is no major objection to putting up the fence. Mr. <br />Boger suggested it not be a snow fence. ' <br />Fire Department Promotions: Mr. Edelman swore into office, Mr. Edward <br />Gottschling as Lieutenant and Mr. Robert Jamieson as Captain. Mayor Busa <br />complimented the men on their good work and offered his congratulations and <br />best wishes. _____ ________ --- - <br />Village Hall: Mr. Leech reported they met recently for study of remodeling <br />the old toom hall and will make bids available for the work using .plans <br />and specifications being drawn up presently. <br />1~ <br />Mr. Edelman stated Mayfield has not increased it°s•taxes for 10 years. <br />The 2.7 mil Operating Levy is needed. <br />RESOLUTION #`773: Introduced by Mr. Schmidt9 seconded by Mr. Davis, <br />Resolution ~~7739 Entitled: 9°A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE RENE~rIAL OF A <br />T6d0 AND SEVEN TENTHS (207) MIL LEVY FOR FIVE YEARS FOR PAYMENT OF CURRENT <br />EXPENSES FOR THE TAX DUPLICATE YEARS 1970 to 1974,~INCLUSIVE.P° Mr. Schmidt, <br />secon:°v~ by Mr. Davis, moved that the rules of law requiring a resolution <br />to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. Roll Call: AYES: <br />Messrs. Leech, Bordonaro., Boger, Schmidt and Davis. NAYS: None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Bordonaro° seconded by Mr. Schmidt, made a motion that Resolution #773 <br />be approved and passed as read. Roll Call: AYES: Messrs. Leech, Bordonaro, <br />Boger, Schmidt and Davis. NAYS: None. <br />Motion Carried <br />,Resolution Adopted <br />Letter and questionaire to Mayor Busa from Mr. G. A. Hall, Secretary- <br />Engineer of the State of Ohio Glater Pollution Control Board, regarding our <br />treatment of pollution. Mr. Hovancsek will process this. <br />Letter to Mayor Busa from Ohio Bell Telephone Company requesting permission <br />to clig up ground in front of the shopping center along SOM Center Road for <br />additional and maintaining existing telephone services. Mr. Boger, seconded <br />by Mr. Schmidt, made a motion to .grant permission to Ohio •Bell Telephone <br />Company to do the necessary work. Roll Call: AYES: Messrs. Leech, Bordon- <br />aro9 Boger, Schmidt and Davis. NAYS: None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Permission Granted <br />Salary Increases: Mayor Busa appointed Mr. Schmidt to re-evaluate the <br />entire base scale for all employees and establish a realiztic wage scale. <br />~~ ~ Mayor Busa requested Mr. Lockemer to expedite the recovery of taxes that <br />are being lost by Mayfield Village to Gates Mills because of the required <br />Gates Mills addresses used. <br />
