We are about X6,000.00 in the red in our General <br />Fund. rrobably about X20,000.00 we are not going to have for <br />the rest of the year. The reciprocity on income tax is dis- <br />continued as of October 1, 1970 by the C~.~y of Cleveland but <br />a court action is building to prevent this action until the <br />end of 1971. <br />r~2r. Schmidt : Stated that we are holdir}g back spending of <br />' village funds now except for emergencies. <br />Mr. Schmidt asked for comments from the floor: <br />Mr. Ed Schultz, Chairman, of the Village Civic League stated <br />that the majority of 'the people on his petitions were against <br />Ordinances #70m30 and #70®3~. He plans to take his referendum <br />petitions to I'~Zr. Lockemer. <br />Mrs.~Gillis would like to have a property tax re-evaluation of <br />all residential property from Route #91 west on Wilson Mills <br />Road. She had hoped for a councilrnanic action on this. She <br />also wished to know what the "gurgling" after a storm is at the <br />corner of Wilson Mills and SOM Center Roads.. (Mro D°Agostino <br />said it would be remedied after the road widening and improve- <br />~uents are made on SOM Center Road.) <br />Mr. Howard Schulz was quite vocal about sewer pollution in our <br />villageo <br />Mra Richard Schanfarber questioned the handling of his city <br />income tax by the collection center (Cleveland). He also <br />wanted it to be known that he sent in his resignation by letter <br />as Chairman of the Kenwood North Estates to the Mayor's Advis- <br />ory Committee. <br />Mr. Florian Rickey is very concerned about the accidents at <br />the corner of Miner and Wilson Mi11s Road. Of concern to him <br />also are the new K-Mart and Fisher-Fazio Companies being built <br />in Highlands Heights and the added burden to our village police <br />department. <br />
