28 <br />2/i6/a7 <br />Page Ten <br />Mr. Goley, seconded by Mr. Flynn, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. <br />87-13. <br />Roll Call: AYES: A11 <br />NAYS: None <br />First Reading.of Resolution No. 87-14, entitled; "A RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE <br />RATE INCREASE IMPLEMENTED BY VIACOM CABLEVISION AND REQUESTING THE CABLE <br />TELEVISION FRANCHISEE TO MEET WITH VILLAGE OFFICIALS•TO JUSTIFY ITS ACTIONS." <br />Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Goley, seconded by.Mr. Basile, made a motion to suspend the rules of <br />Council requiring a resolution .to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Mr. Etzler, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. <br />87-14. <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br /> <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br /> <br />First Reading of Resolution No. 87-15, entitled; "A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A <br />PLAN UNDER THE OHIO PUBLIC-EMPLOYEES DEFERRED COMPENSATION PROGRAM PERMITTING <br />ALL ELIGIBLE EMPLOYEES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO., TO DEFER A PORTION OF THEIR <br />COMPENSATION AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Fred N. Carmen. <br />ANY OTHER MATTER THAT•MAY COME BEFORE COUNCIL <br />Sale of Police Vehicles - Mayor.Carmen said we received one bid in the amount <br />of$250 for each police vehicle. The Chief of Police has advised that the <br />scrap value of these vehicles would be approximately $500 each. Therefore, <br />Mayor Carmen said he feels it is in the best interest of the Village for <br />Council to reject all bids received. <br />Mr. Etzler,.seconded by Mr. Goley, made a motion to reject the bid received <br />for.police vehicles. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Al1 <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried Bid Rejected <br />Mr. Goley commented that he thought the Fire and Police Departments did an <br />excellent job regarding the.near tragedy of the Pizzazz fire.. <br />Mr. Goley said he would like Council to reconsider Reso.lution No. 87-16. <br />?
