2/i6/s7 <br />LeO Page Two <br />Mr. Etzler, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to approve the expenditure <br />of $2,500 to the Mayfield Township Historical Society as the 1987 maintenance <br />dues to be used toward the anti-demolition of the VanCuren house. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Al1 <br />NAYS: None <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS: <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Approved <br />Acting Chief Mohr reported that there was a minor fire today at the Aintree <br />Park Apartments. No one was injured; the damage is estimated at $2,000. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola reported that the clarification of <br />guidelines was discussed at the February 12 meeting. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said there was no report. <br />Commission on Aging - Mr. Etzler said the Commission has not had any activities <br />yet this year. They will be scheduling a meeting at the end of this month to <br />resume activities. <br />Finance - Mr. Goley said the.Committee held their first meeting of 1987 earlier <br />this evening. He said we have a new Finance Director: Dan Patrick. He will , <br />be unable to attend the first two meetings due to a conflict. However, the <br />committee set the Finance Committee Meetings to be held on the third Monday of <br />each month at 7:15 p.m. They elected Co-Chairmen of the Committee: David <br />Petschauer and George Goley. Mr. Petschauer will give subsequent reports to <br />Council. Mr. Goley said he will be the secretary and will take the minutes. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Petschauer said discussion was held at the <br />last meeting about liability and self-insurance pooling; pros can cons, etc. <br />He said that in the Cities and Villages publication Council receives, the <br />January issue has an article that describes insurance pooling. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Etzler said there was no report. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Goley said the Committee met and decided to <br />have written statemen.ts from Mr. Feneli after he meets with Mr. Amendola <br />which he should have by the next meeting (the second Monday in March.) They <br />would like to have written recommendations on the night they meeto They will <br />be reviewing Title 19 of the code (Planning & Zoning Code) at the next meeting.. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Basile said the Committee met February 2, and <br />recommended Council give approva l for the following: Hanover Woods Phase II, <br />SOM Sands Office Buildings, and the Progressive Insurance Office Building. <br />The approval for the Progressive Insurance Building was with several contingencies <br />(see P&Z min. 2/2/87.) <br />and Service - Mr <br />Basile <br />Safet <br />said no meeting was <br />held <br />. <br />y .
