' <br />Mr. Amendola will contact them and see that •something is done. <br />Mr. Petschauer said he noticed a problem with the downspouts on the porches <br />in the front of the Mt. Vernon building. The downspouts do not tie into the <br />storm sewer and the water goes into a splash box. <br />Mr. Amendola wi11 check into this matter. <br />Jefferson Building - Compliance to Fire Code - Acting Chief Mohr said <br />they have installed the fire alarm system as requested. They have not <br />complied completely with the requests made by Council at the November <br />meeting. He explained some of the problems he saw when he visited the <br />building on February 13. <br />Council agreed to keep this item on the agenda until all problems have <br />been corrected. <br />Jefferson Building - Sign Variance Request - Mr. Basile said Mr. Simon has <br />not been present at the last few meetings, so we will take this item off <br />the agenda. Status: Assistant Service Director Appointment - Ma.yor Carmen said there <br />are a couple of options that we have; the matter has been put on hold <br />pending the resolution of the manpower issue in the Service Department. <br />Mayor Carmen said he will have a report at the Caucus Meeting, and it <br />should be resolved shortly. <br />Dr. Eadie Sewer Problem (Corrected?)- Mr. Petschauer read a letter from Mr. <br />Hovancsek. The storm sewer was cleaned by the County. <br />Mr. Amendola.said there is still a problem that may exist, but it would be <br />the responsibility of the property owner. <br />LaFrance Pumper Repair Update - Acting Chief Mohr said this pumper will be <br />sent to GM Diesel to have the radiator.repaired. Our own personnel repaired <br />the leaking valves. Regarding the overhaul status, only one written report <br />has been received. Others who have looked at the pumper agree that there is <br />work that must be done, but concur that it is salvageable. <br />Mr. Goley asked if there might be a time during which the Village would only <br />have the mini-pumper in service, and if so, for what approximate amount of <br />time. <br />Aeting Chief Mohr said it could take several months to complete the repair. <br />Mr. Flynn suggested the radiator be fixed so the truck could be in service <br />until the problems with the Young,pumper can be cleared up. <br />Young Pumper Update - Mayor Carmen suggested this be discussed during the <br />Executive Session since it may be a matter for potential litigation.
