58 <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES (Cont.) <br />Special Meeting of Council - April 6, 1987 - Mr. Etzler, seconded by Mr. <br />Basile, made a motion to a prove the minutes. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None Minutes Approved <br />COMMENTS FROM MAYOR CARMEN <br />Mayor Carmen said that he would like to express his thanks to the Recreation <br />Board for the wonderful.Easter Party they held on Saturday. It was the <br />largest turnout they have had in some time; over 135 children were at <br />the lunch. <br />Mayor Carmen said he would like Council to consider hiring Burgess and Niple <br />as the drainage consultants once they have reviewed their proposal. <br />COMM$NTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT BASILE <br />Mr. Basile said he had no comments at this time. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Mr. Patrick said. that Council should have received a letter from him which <br />in effect starts the budget process.for the.calendar year 1988. It certified <br />any amourits necessary for liens and judgments whicli would have to be <br />budgeted for the next calendar year. In effect, we have started budgeting <br />for 1988. Mr. Pa trick said he has also received tax budgets from the Budget <br />Commission which have to be passed before July 15. He requested that the <br />Clerk of Council include a copy of that letter in the minutes. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review.Board - Mr. Amendola said the Board met on March 26 and <br />April 9. They approved plans for four new single family dwellings, an <br />equipment shed, a porch addition, the replacement of the Shel.l signs, an <br />accessory building, off-property screening for a boat, and denied a room <br />addition for additional information. <br />Board of Appeals -,Mr. Amendola said they were not required to meet last <br />month. . <br />Commission on Aging - Mr. Etzler said the Commission met last Thursday. He <br />was unable to attend because he was out of town. <br />Finance - Mr. Goley said he will wait to make a complete report on tonight's <br />meeting until he has a copy of the minutes. He said Council must set the <br />date of the meeting to review the proposed budget; Council would like to go <br />over it item by item. <br />Council agreed to hold the meeting on April 29, at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mr. Patrick requested that if Council had any questions, they list them <br />and he will be able to report on them at that meeting.
