NEW BUSINESS <br />Les Faltz - Letter of Resignation - Mr. Basile.said that everyone.should have <br />received Mr. Foltz's letter of resignation as Service Director. There are a <br />few items to.be discussed which will be discussed during the Executive Session <br />later this evening. <br />Leaf Vacuum Specs - Mr. Amendola reported that the ad had been placed for the <br />purchase of this item. . <br />National Amusement - This item was already taken care of (Res. 87-27.) <br />Deferred Compensation Program - Mr. Amendola explained that before the <br />representatives can meet with employees, they must talk to Council. Mayor <br />Carmen and Council agreed that Mr. Amendola should contact the re.presentatives <br />from Deferred Compensation to meet with Council at the next Caucus. <br />Service Department Priority List - Mr. Basile asked Mr.. Amendola how the progress <br />on this list was coming along. <br />Mr. Amendola reported that 65%.of the items on this list have already been <br />completed. He explained what work has been done, etc. <br />Animal Warden - Mr. Basile said that Council"discussed this at Caucus. Mr. <br />Basile said.that he had received a report from a resident that the ariimal <br />warden told them that he did not trap skunks. This problem will be checked <br />with the animal warden. <br />Mayor Carmen explained the review of the animal warden came about because he <br />had requested an increase in salary. He had distributed copies of the <br />animal warden's log for Council to review to determine if he was worth the <br />money or not. <br />Mr. Goley said there has not been a month gone by where the animal warden had <br />not been called. Judging by the lack of complaints about him, he feels it <br />is worthwhile to continue this service to the residents. <br />The other members of Council agreed with Mr. Goley, and agreed to the increase <br />in the animal warden's salary from $416.66/mo. to $450/mo. <br />Arco Property - Mr. Amendola is to obtain a new price which will be reduced <br />because of the exclusion of curbs (the bid will only be on the sidewalk.) <br />Specs for Items for Service Dept. - Mr. Amendola said that the ads had been <br />placed for the purchase of these items, <br />Mayfield Village Dispatching for Gates Mills - Mr. Feneli said he wilZ contact <br />Chief Stevens Tuesday and resolve this issue by the end of the week.
