Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by-Mr. Goley, made a motion to suspend the rules of <br />Council requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasio.ns. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Al1 <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Goley, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. <br />87-51. <br />Mr. Petschauer asked_why we can't grade down the surface and then repave <br />it, why must we go over the existing surface which causes problems. <br />Mr. Hovancsek explained the reason they build up the surface instead of <br />gr.inding the existing surface down is because in many areas the structure <br />of the road is not solid. By adding the additional several inches it makes <br />the surface more sound. The next time resurfacing will'be done it will be <br />necessary to-totally grincl-down and replace the surface. <br />Discussion.was held.
