Introduced by .Mayor Carmen arid Council as a.Whole. <br />Mayor Carmen explained that the Cleveland Academy of Medicine wanted the <br />paramedic squads to transport certain victims to trauma centers. Hillcr.est <br />Hospital felt it was not appropriate that the paramedics shquld..have to <br />make life and death decisions where to transport a patient. Mayor Carmen <br />said that Mayfield Village has faith in the.hospitals and feels.they should <br />make the decision... IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS <br />($7,000.00),•DECLARING THE SAME TO BE A TRUE EMERGENCY AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr.-Goley, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to suspend the rules of <br />Gouncil requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Goley, seconded by Mr. Petschauer, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. <br />87-41.- <br />Mayor Carmen said money was originally budgeted this year for the.replacement <br />of the.fire truck. They worked with the comgany who made the previous <br />repairs. They have agreed that the truck must pass tests before they will <br />receive payment. No payment will be made if the.truck does not pass the tests. <br />Mr. Goley ask.ed if`the vehicle will be road safe with the repairs made. <br />Chief Mohr.said yes, and that the frame has passed the stress test.` He <br />said tliey are hoping to have the vehicle.back around July 25. ,
