1 04
Regular Council Meeting
7/20/8.7
Page Two
Mayor Carmen suggested holding a meeting with the residents, Mr. Caticchio,
and Council.
Mr. Hovanesek suggested that ;the work be completed during this construction
season.
Mayor Carmen asked if Council agreed to confining the work to this building
season.
Mr. Etzler said he would like to have a letter of intent from the developer.
Discussion was held. Mr. Catiechio explained the problems he is having with
the homeowners, and how difficult it might be to stick to a given time frame.
Mayor Carmen said as soon as that letter is received; they may begin the work.
Then, a meeting will be set with the property owners.
William Pierce - Ugper 40's Drive - said he wants to remind everyone that once
the water gets through Aintree it will clobber them even harder and go down to
the park again.
Mayor Carmen said that as of the last meeting we have retained the services
of Burgess and Niple. They have been advised that .the number one priority
is th.e Upper Forty area.
Mrs. Pierce said that when her, Mr..Caticchio, and.Mayor Carmen last met,
Mr. Caticchio did not know that his development has done alot of silting in
of the pond. She thinks that the development in Mayfield Village.is the
reason for that, and she thinks it is caused especially by the development
of Aintree North. She said that Mr. Caticchio said that he would check out
tYie damage done to their property. She asked if he had done that.
Mr. Caticchi.o said he did not.
Mrs. Pierce said that she thinks that is important. She said if ttiey are
widening this channei, they cannot handle'it anymore. She said her.husband
is filling in, by himself, the damage that was done. She.wonders every morning
if she can get, out. She said that she knows that they plan to do the big
project, but she does not know_what to do in the meantime.
Mayor Carmen-asked that when they run into problems again (like those that
occurxed following the rains of June 2), that they contact the Village. We
would be happy to help again in that ragard.
