1 04 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />7/20/8.7 <br />Page Two <br />Mayor Carmen suggested holding a meeting with the residents, Mr. Caticchio, <br />and Council. <br />Mr. Hovanesek suggested that ;the work be completed during this construction <br />season. <br />Mayor Carmen asked if Council agreed to confining the work to this building <br />season. <br />Mr. Etzler said he would like to have a letter of intent from the developer. <br />Discussion was held. Mr. Catiechio explained the problems he is having with <br />the homeowners, and how difficult it might be to stick to a given time frame. <br />Mayor Carmen said as soon as that letter is received; they may begin the work. <br />Then, a meeting will be set with the property owners. <br />William Pierce - Ugper 40's Drive - said he wants to remind everyone that once <br />the water gets through Aintree it will clobber them even harder and go down to <br />the park again. <br />Mayor Carmen said that as of the last meeting we have retained the services <br />of Burgess and Niple. They have been advised that .the number one priority <br />is th.e Upper Forty area. <br />Mrs. Pierce said that when her, Mr..Caticchio, and.Mayor Carmen last met, <br />Mr. Caticchio did not know that his development has done alot of silting in <br />of the pond. She thinks that the development in Mayfield Village.is the <br />reason for that, and she thinks it is caused especially by the development <br />of Aintree North. She said that Mr. Caticchio said that he would check out <br />tYie damage done to their property. She asked if he had done that. <br />Mr. Caticchi.o said he did not. <br />Mrs. Pierce said that she thinks that is important. She said if ttiey are <br />widening this channei, they cannot handle'it anymore. She said her.husband <br />is filling in, by himself, the damage that was done. She.wonders every morning <br />if she can get,out. She said that she knows that they plan to do the big <br />project, but she does not know_what to do in the meantime. <br />Mayor Carmen-asked that when they run into problems again (like those that <br />occurxed following the rains of June 2), that they contact the Village. We <br />would be happy to help again in that ragard. <br />
