;) <br />7/20/87 <br />Regular.Council Meeting <br />Page 3 <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br />Regular'Meeting of Council - June 15, 1987 - Mr. Goley, seconded by Mr. Flynn; <br />made a motion to approve the minutes.- <br />Roll Call: AYES: All Motion-Carried <br />NAYS: None Minutes Approved <br />GOMMENTS FROM MAYOR CARMEN <br />Mayor..Carmen said that the Village Days signs are up; plans are underway for <br />the event. Village Days will be held on July 31, August l, and 2. It will <br />be bigger and better this year and more fun for everyone! <br />Mayor-Carmen said several new employees have joined the Viilage. Ken Shzefler <br />has been hired as a full-time firefighter; Gene DeLuca and Michael Schaeffer <br />tlave been hired as full-time service department employees. <br />Mayor Carmen administered the oath of office to Ken Shrefler as a Full-Time <br />Firefighter. <br />Mayor Carmen"administered the oath of office to Eugene DeLuca and Michael <br />Schaeffer as Full-Time Service Department employees. <br />Everyone welcomed the new employees. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Mr..Patrick reported that audits for '85-'86 are in process. <br />'STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />f05 <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Elmendola said that the Board met on June 25. <br />They received drawings and approved the.following: two decks, two single-family <br />houses, and an accessory building. They have a heavy agenda for the meeting <br />this Thursday. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said there was no requirement'for a meeting <br />this month. <br />Cemetery - Mr. Goley said he received the estimate for the driveway repair of <br />the cemetery (as prepared by Mr.. Amendola.) He said he will contact Mrs. <br />Riedel to see if Mayfield Heights and Highland Heights would be willing to <br />split.the expenses. Since Mayfield Village.would be performing the work, he <br />did not feel we should share in the expenses. Mr. Goley asked the Clerk of <br />Council to distribute copies of this estimate to Council. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Petschauer said the committee met this evening. He <br />asked Mr. Patrick to explain what was being considered. <br />Mr. Patriek explained that the Einance Committee is considering changing the <br />interest and penaity rates for the muriicipal income tax. He will be submitting <br />a report and recommendation to Council.
