7/20/87 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />108 Page 6 <br />Mayor Carmen asked Mr. Hovancsek to change the legal description so that it <br />includes the entire parcel but giving the Village an easement for the entire <br />land around the house. <br />P4r. Petschauer asked if the Village would still have access to the land <br />during Village Days, etc. <br />Mayor Carmen explained that the Village would have access to the land. <br />Ridgebury Blvd. Repair - Mr. Hovancsek said Mr. Feneli was checking this. <br />matter witli the title company a few weeks ago but he still.has not received <br />a reply. . <br />Fisher's Tavern - Mayor Carmen explained this was a matter to be discussed <br />in Executive Session (pending litigation.) <br />Street Striping - Mr. Hovancsek reported that Neat-Line Company was the only <br />bidder on the street striping project. The amourit of the bid was $3,845.22. <br />He asked if- Council would accept the bid. <br />Mr. Goley, seconded by Mr. F1ynn, made a motion to award a contract to the <br />Neat Line Company, Inc., in the amount of $3,845.22 for street striping. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />.NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Contract Awarded - <br />Mr. Feneli will prepare a resolution to be adopted at the next Council <br />Meeting to ratify the expenditure. <br />Smoke Testing - Mr. Amendola said that the County asked for a list of the <br />areas affected by the June 2nd rains to find out where there were problems. <br />He said they had come out to smoke test and had gone from inanhole to manhole <br />to test. Six homes were effected each time. He said if we would have known <br />they were coming we would have notified the residents. Mr. Amendola said <br />that fortunately there was only one incident. He explained this is the only <br />method they have to determine problem areas. <br />Survey of Suburban Councils by Cleveland State_- Mr. Basile said everyone <br />has received a copy of a survey request by Cleveland State University. <br />Mayor Carmen explained that it is not mandatory that the survey be completed; <br />it is up to each member of Council whether or not they wish to complete it. <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 87-23, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE SUSMITTING TO <br />THE ELECTORATE OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE CHARTER <br />OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE PERTAINING TO THE APPOINTMENT OF A DIRECTOR OF LAW, PROVIDING <br />FOR ALL NECESSARY PROCEDURES IN CONNECTION HEREWITH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." <br />Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Etzler, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to suspend the ru-1•es of <br />Council requiring an'ordinance to be read,.on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Cali:' AYES: All NAYS: None Motion.Carried <br />Rules Suspended
