13g <br />Mayor.Carmen said that a number of residents in the old Aintree area have <br />expressed problems getting in and out of Raleigh onto Wilson Mills during peak <br />hours. He said that the police are patroling the area to make •sur-e•,th•at? <br />people are abiding by the "Don't Block Intersection" sign, and we are in the <br />process of determining whether signalization in that area would be ap- <br />propriatea He asked Mr. Hovancsek to lo.ok into this problem. <br />Mayor Carmen said he would like to thank everyone who attended the Picnic in <br />the Park on September 6. He said the fireworks were great. <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT BASILE <br />Mr. Basile said he would like to amend the agenda to include the $5 license <br />plate tax, under "New Business" if there were no objections. <br />DEPARTMENT AEAD REPORTS <br />Chief Mohr,reported••that,the hydrant work that Mr. Hovancsek requested on our <br />behalf has finally been completed by the Cleveland Water Department., He <br />reported that when the hydrants were checked by our crew, they found five <br />hydrants that need to be check.e.d.again. A new list will be given to Mr. <br />Hovancsek to have the Water DepartmentIcheck ou,t. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review Board - Board of Appeals - There were no reports since <br />Mr. Amendola was absent. <br />Cemetery - There was no report. <br />Commission on Aging - Mre Etzler reported that they will be meeting this. <br />Thursday at 8 p.m..in the Council Chambers. - <br />Finance - Mr. Patrick said that the Committee will meet following the conclu- <br />sion of the Council Meeting. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Petschauer said they will be meeting this <br />Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Etzler said there was no report. Planning and Zoning - Mr. Basile said the Commission met on September 14. A <br />Public Hearing was held to discuss Resolution No. 87-65 granting a Special <br />Use Permit to Allan and Wanda Hejcl. He said that there were no comments from <br />the f loor. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommend that Council approve <br />Resolution No. 87-65. Mr. Basile said that there was a meeting on September <br />16 regarding the Musca property with Mr. Musca, Mr. Norton, and Mr. Meyers. <br />Recreation - Mr. Petschauer said,that,the fall "Over 30" softball league has <br />begun.
