136 <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Progressive Insurance - Mayor Carmen_said -that Mr. Feneli has drafted an <br />agreement between the Village and Progressive, which is presently being <br />reviewed by Progressive. He explained that the agreement was relative to the <br />sale of the homes Progressive is currently renting back to single-family <br />residential homeowners. In return for which they will be permitted to put in <br />the driveway. He said that he expects the agreement to be approved shortly <br />and the homes would be transferred to an independent real.estate broker will <br />begin.' `The construction of the drive would`begin thereafter once it is ap- <br />proved by Council. <br />Front Row Traffic - Chief Stevens said that the signs have been received and <br />installed today by Highland Heights. <br />Bicycle Path - Mayor Carmen said the bike path is pretty much completed from <br />the Metropark on down. They are in the process of resurfacing the old bike <br />path to make it uniform all the way down. He explained some of the problems <br />with the path and said that signs will be put up prohibiting motorized <br />vehicles on the path. He said that many people have expressed their feeling <br />that a guard rail should be installed. He said that it is under consideration. <br />Mayor Carmen asked Chief Stevens to watch f or cars blocking the path and said <br />it must be patrolled to ensure it is used for its intended purpose. <br />Historical Society - Mayor Carmen said that Mr. Hovancsek is preparing the <br />legal descriptions for the land so that Mro Feneli can prepare the legal docu- <br />ment. <br />Ridgebury Blvd. Repair - Mayor Carmen said he believed the Village will be <br />requesting an easement from the property owner to go in and complete the <br />repair work. Mra Hovancsek will be checking with the County to see if they <br />might be able to defray a portion of the cost of the repair. <br />Aintree North :Drainage .-Mayor',Carmen .:said a meeting was held last Thursday. <br />He said that Mr. Hovancsek and Burgess and Niple (drainage consultants) will <br />be looking at the area soon and he hopes that work on this project will begin <br />iri the riext week fo ten days. Mayo'r Carmen said -that Mr. Hovancsek will' be" <br />looking at the area before Wednesday and reporting back to him. <br />Mre Caticchio (in the audience) asked if the upper end of the channel could be <br />raised so that it would not be so deep through the Ziernicki property. <br />Mayor Carmen asked if Mr. Caticchio had talked to the developer about con- <br />tributing toward this. <br />Mr. Caticchio said that he did not believe the developer would agree to con- <br />tribute anything. <br />Mayor Carmen asked Mr. Caticchio to talk to the developer about this again. <br />Second Reading of-Ordinance-No:-87=24; entitled; "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEC- <br />TION 1305.07, 1305.08(e) AND 1305.11, REPEALING SECTION 1305.08(b) AND ENACT- <br />ING SECTION 1305.081 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." <br />Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole.
