He asked what would be done about making a selection:
Mayor Carmen said that Allen Bradley had wanted to build in that
area but are now letting their options expire.
Mayor Carmen said that he has contacted several developers to see
if they would be interested in building a residential subdivision
on that land. He said the big downfall is that there are no
sewers in that area and they are expensive to put in. He said he
advised them that he was certain the Village would be willing to
work with them if they would be willing to put in a residential
subdivision. He said he does not think a planning consultant
would be necessary at this time.
Council agreed with Mayor Carmen.
Discussion re Tax Rate Legislation - Mr. Patrick said on October
22 he met with the Cuyahoga County Budget Commission. He said that the legislation could be passed at the
Regular Cou.ncil Meeting on November 16, 1987. He said if Council
did not want' to adopt the legislation on Novmeber 16, they could
call a Special Meeting between November 16 and December 10 to do
so. It is up to Council. Mr. Patrick said that Council should
have the legislation in time to hold discussion at the next
Finance Committee meeting.
Discussion re Temporary-Appropriations-Legislation - Mr. Patrick
said that since we are a governmental entity, Council must pass
an appropriations ordinance.
