1 57 <br />il/2/s7 <br />Page 3 <br />Mr. Basile said that the Planning and Zoning Commission members <br />made a motion to approve the development plan as presented less <br />the patio area on the north sidee The proposed future patio <br />would be addressed at a later subject to the approval of whatever <br />body grants variances. <br />Mayor Carmen said that Council has not yet had the opportunity to <br />study this proposal. He asked if Council wanted to hold discus- <br />sion on this t'onight or. if !they would prefer to hold a Special <br />Caucus to discuss it. <br />Mr. F?i nn said he would agree to hold a Special Caucus if neces- <br />sary. <br />Mr. Petschauer asked if they would be willing to decrease the <br />retail portion of their development and increase the office <br />space; thus requiring no variancee <br />Mr. Meyers said no. He said their was a certain urgency to have <br />a decision tonight. <br />Mr. Musca explained that a 20 parking space variance would be <br />required because their plan includes a restaurant. <br />Further discussion was held. Council and Mr. Meyers looked at <br />the drawing and Mre Meyers explained where the additional parking <br />spaces would be. <br />Mayor Carmen asked to proceed with the other items on tonight's <br />agenda before continuing discussion on this matter. <br />Over 55 Snow Removal - Mayor 'Carmen explained that the last issue <br />of the Voice of the Village contained a tear sheet for residents <br />over 55 to return if they were interested in snow removals He <br />said that he had heard from many that they were having a dif- <br />ficult time plowing snow or paying for someone to plow for them. <br />He said that 40 responses were received. Contractors were con- <br />tacted. A contractor agreed to charge $100 per residence for the <br />winter seasone He will plow their drives when snow exceeds 3 <br />inches deepo Mayor Carmen said the residents have been:contacted <br />to see if they would be interested in participating in this <br />program. The cost would be shared by the resident and the Vil- <br />lage ($50 each.) He said the Village cost of this program would <br />be $2,000. <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mrs. Buzek, made a motion to approve the <br />expenditure of $2,000 to provide snow removal for residents over <br />55 (or disabled) who have indicated they would be interested in <br />the program. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Approved
