172 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />11/16/87 <br />Page 11 <br />Mayor Carmen said he feels alot of politics are involved with this matter, and <br />he feels the topic-should be studied further and discussed at a.Council Caucus <br />before it is voted ono <br />Resolution No. 87-80 was referred to Caucus. <br />ANY OTHER MATTER THAT MAY COME BEFORE COUNCIL <br />CLOSING COMMENTS <br />Chief Mohr said the Fire Department will be pumping hydrant barrels to make <br />sure there is no water in them. <br />Mrs. Buzek said that she heard many favorable comments about the leaf pick up <br />program this year, especially from residents in the Worton Park area. <br />Mr. Hovancsek reported that Terraco will be bringing in their equipment on <br />Tuesday and beginning the berm repair work on Wednesday. He said in the <br />spring they will return to add topsoil and seed. <br />Mrs. Buzek said the Worton Park Homeowners Association met and came up with a <br />few suggestions regarding the Progressive agreement, <br />Mr. Bruce Rinker (in the audience) distributed copies of the agreement (with <br />additions and alterations noted) to Mayor Carmen and Council. He explained the <br />changes made. Mr. Rinker said that the homeowner's association will be meet- <br />ing again. <br />Mayor Carmen said that it was his understanding that Progressive was willing <br />to sign the agreement as is. He said that Council.has given him authorization <br />to enter into the agreement on behalf of the Village. He said he was nervous <br />that the homeowners association might want to make other changes. <br />Mr. Rinker said he would urge the executive committee to act as delegated by <br />the original voteo He does not see any problem with their doing so. <br />Mayor Carmen said he will wait to execute the agreement until he hears from <br />Mr. Rinker. <br />Mrs. Buzek said that tonight is her last meeting. She said she had agreed to <br />fill in on Council until Bruce Rinker had met his residency requirement which <br />he will have met by the next meeting. She said that serving was a rewarding <br />experience and thanked everyone for their niceties. •Mrs. Buzek said that she <br />could now return to the Architectural Review Board. <br />Mayor Carmen expressed his appreciation to Mrs. Buzek for serving on Council. <br />He said that he and Council had previously discussed filling the open slot <br />with Bruce Rinker since he is from the Worton Park areae He said that Mr. <br />Rinker is very active in the Worton Park Homeowner's Associatione Mayor Car- <br />men said that a Special Council Meeting will be held next Monday to officially <br />appoint Mr. Rinker to the position. <br />11
