, 172 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />11/16/87 <br />Page 10 <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 87-41, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE ENACTING CHAPTER <br />701 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, PERTAINING TO COM- <br />MERCIAL ESTABLI'SHMENT WASTE CONTAINERS, REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 87-25 AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Councilman David Petschauer. <br />Mra Petschauer, seconded by Mrs. Buzek, made a motion to suspend the rules of <br />Council requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Al1 <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />' . Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Petschauer, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. <br />87-41. <br />Mrs. Martin said that Mr. Amendola would' probably like to review this legisla- <br />tion before it is enacted. <br />Mr. Petschauer said that Mr. Amendola had looked at the ordinance. He will <br />give Mrse Martin a copy. Council cited that if necessary, the legislation <br />could always be amended. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 87-429 entitled; "AN ORDINANCE ENACTING SEC- <br />TION. 549.11 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, PERTAINING <br />TO REPLICAS OF HAND GUNS OR OTHER FIREARMS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." In- <br />troduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Wholee <br />Mayor Carmen said he would like this ordinance to be discusseii- at' the" next <br />Council Caucus. He said this ordinance essentially puts a ban on the sale of <br />toy guns that look very similar (almost identical) to the real guns. He said <br />that there is a replica of the gun that is carried by our Police Department <br />that you can hardly tell is a replica. <br />First Reading of Resolution-Nov 87-79, entitled; "A RESOLUTION DECLARING MAR- <br />SHALL FORD TO BE THE LOWEST AND BEST, BIDDER FOR THE SALE TO THE MUNICIPALITY <br />OF THREE (3) POLICE CRUISERS, AUTHORIZING THE.MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />TO EXECUTE A PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR SAME, REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Fred N. Carmeno <br />Mayor Carmen said that he would like to discuss which cars will be replaced <br />with Chief Stevens before this legislation is adopted. <br />Res6lution-Noe-87=80, entitled; "A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS IN THEIR REQUEST FOR THE REFORMING AND RESHAPING OF THE REGIONAL <br />TRANSIT AUTHORITY MANAGEMENTa" Introduced by Council President Santo Basile. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />10
