. ,..r , ... :.. x . •r?w.r..', rw..x!. <br />2-0 <br />Special Council Meeting <br />2/4/91 <br />Page 2 <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a morion to suspend the rules of Council requiring a <br />resolurion to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to adopt Resolurion No. 91-13. <br />Mr. Rinlcer asked Mr. Ramos to explain his letter of February lst regarding the contract. <br />Mr. Ramos said that according to Resolution 91-03 which was passed in January, a contract could <br />be executed as long as he approved of its wording. Mr. Ramos said he was concerned about the <br />liability provisions included in the coniract and sent a letter asking the City of Beachwooci to amend <br />the contract to include certain wording. He is still waiting to hear from them. He said that Council <br />can pass this legislation and as soon as we have a contract that he approves of, the Mayor and <br />President of Council can enter into it. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Morion Carried <br />Resolurion Adopted <br />First Reading of Resolurion No. 91-14, enritled; "A resolurion authorizing the Mayor and Council <br />to execute a purchase agreement for the purchase of one (1) police car with Mazshall Ford in the <br />amount of sixteen thousand three hundred eighty-one dollars ($16,381.00) and declaring an <br />emergency. Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Ramos said the title should read, "A resolution authorizing the Mayor and President of <br />Council..." He will provide a corrected copy to the Clerk of Council. <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a morion to suspend the rules of Council requiring a <br />resolution to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Morion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 91-14. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Camed <br />Resolurion Adopted <br />Fisher's Tavern - Mr. Ramos said that there is a final hearing scheduled for Monday, however, he <br />hopes that matter will be resolved. <br />ANY OTBER MATTER TO COME BEFORE COUNCIL - Mr. Rinker asked if there is any other <br />matter that anyone wishes to bring forward. <br />Mayor Carmen said that Mayfield Village passed an ordinance in December regarding the Village <br />maintaining wages and benefits of employees called to the Middle East; he has since received <br />copies of similar legislation enacted by two other communiries.
