He
said he would like to propose the following method by which to resolve the problems to the home
owners and to Council. Mayor Carmen said he has heard different stories as to how the trees got
misplaced. Mr. Amendola thinks about 9 trees are not in line with where they should be. The only
potential problem which exists is if sidewalks are put into the subdivision. As it stands now,
Mayor Carmen feels if we pass on requiruig those residents to relocate their trees they must
recognize that the problem will become greater if sidewalks aze ever put in. He said it is a gamble
on the part of the home owner. To the extent that sidewalks are put in and it is a straight sidewalk,
the home owners will have to relocate the trees. Mayor Carmen said it would be more of a
problem in the future than it is now.
Mr. Ferrante said he thought that was fine but that we should get it in writing from the home
owner,
Mayor Cannen said the finishing piece of that is that the nine home owners who have trees in the
right-of-way would sign off that they are signing off now realizing that later there may be an
expense in it. He hopes there will never be a problem but there is always a possibility that it could
happen.
Mayor Carmen said he thinks this compromise is the best solurion so long as home owners realize
there may be problems down the road.
