85 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />5/20/91 <br />Page Five <br />Motion to Uaove increase in Animal Warden contract for Januarv 1991 from $450 to $500 <br />(Legislation passed in February was effective February 1991) Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. <br />Ferrante made a motion to approve an increase in the animal wardens contract in 7anuary, 1991. <br />Mr. Ramos explained that Council usually makes all pay raises retroactive to January, 1991, and <br />the legislation was passed effective February, 1991 for the animal warden. He said they felt that it <br />would not be fair to not include 7anuary, so this motion is to include January in the increased rate. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Authorization given <br />Gazebo Use Policy - IVir. Rinker said that a few quesrions remain unsolved and we should address <br />these issues. <br />Mayor Garmen said we need to put a policy in place regarding the use of the gazebo. Questions to <br />consider are: A) Should we charge for its use; B) Are we going to restrict use to Mayf'ield Village <br />residents; and C) If we allow others to use it, do we want to require them to make reservations in <br />advance. <br />Mayor Carmen said we need to develop a policy. Most communities have some type of policy; <br />"An ordinance enacring Secrion 1309.21 of the <br />Third Reading of Ordinance No. 91-04 , entitled; <br />Codified Ordinances of Mayf'ield Village, Ohio, pertaining to the fee for inquiries regazding <br />development within the flood plain district and declaring an emergency." Introduced by Mayor <br />Carmen and Council as a Whole. (First Reading 2/18/91, Second Reading 3/128/91) <br />some charge, some require a security deposit, some limit use to residents, some a11ow all <br />individuals to use their facility. He thinks we need to develop a policy that is consistent with how <br />we rent the community room and Wiley Park. Mayor Carmen said if the Village has events <br />scheduled, the gazebo will not be available.
