_100 <br />Regulaz Council Meeting <br />6/17/91 <br />Page Two <br />Mayor Carmen said regazding the rubbish specifications, we wanted to see which company could <br />take the most and varied numbers of recyclable products. He said that our specifications need to <br />include that type of information as well as requuements such as limiting the number of bags that <br />can be picked up in one week. <br />IVIrs. Mills said that she and Mr. Amendola went to a yard waste conference. The City of <br />Cleveland Heights is requiring their residents to put their grass clippings into bags that cost $1 <br />each. When she receives a copy of the ordinance, she will make copies for other people. Mrs. <br />Mills said that some communities have special containers with wheels that are used. That type of <br />container would be of assistance to seniors. <br />Mayor Cazmen said there aze two new committee members to be sworn in: Ginny Kahl as a <br />members of the Citizen's Advisory Board; and George Phillips of the Recrearion Board. <br />Mayor Carmen administered the oath of office to Ginny Kahl as a member of the Citizen's <br />Advisory Board. <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT RINKER <br />Mr. Rinker said he had no comment at this time. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Mr. Amendola said that the swales on S.O.M. Center Road across from Metro Park are badly <br />deteriorated. He said he has obtained 3 bids ($3,600, $4,072, and $4,350) and would like to <br />request Council action as soon as possible. The lowest bid is from Phillip Berardinelli in the <br />amount of $3,600. <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a morion to approve the expenditure of $3,600 to <br />Phillip Berardinelli for swale repair work on S.O.M. Center Road. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Morion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />Mr. Amendola reported that regarding the meering he and Mrs. Mills attended, Mayfield Village is <br />one of the few municipalities who has tried composting leaves. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said that the traffic signalization plans for Wilson Mills 1Zoad and the street <br />reconstruction project will be out to bid this Thursday. Bids for both projects will be due July 12. <br />Mr. Hovancselc reported that the contractor for Village Trails subdivision #2 will start moving <br />material and will start the structure improvement Wednesday. <br />Mr. Flynn asked the dimensions and lineal feet of the culvert. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said that it flows due east. He will show Mr. Flynn the plan later. <br />? <br />?? <br /> <br />
