Jay said that based upon the faith of the people he has talked to about the 170 system he feels it <br />has the most versatility to expand. He said one thing that bothered him is that S.O.M. and Wilson <br />Mills was never included in the project. They will be the largest generators for traffic. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said that Dick Obernyer felt it would be operating on an independent system. He <br />said the County is happy with the bid prices, etc. Mr. Hovancsek said that the N.E.M.A. systems <br />are used by about 90°l0 of the industry. <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion was held. <br />Mr. Rinker asked if anyone saw any reason why this should not be voted on tonight. <br />Mr. Flynn asked if he felt the Counry would be amenable to both companies. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said the County is happy with the N.E.M.A. system. <br />First Reading of Resolution No. 91-70, entided; "A resolution authorizing the Mayor and President <br />of Council to enter into an agreement with Signal Service Company in an amount not to exceed one <br />hundred ten thousand one hundred twenty-six dollars fifty cents ($110,126.50) for traffic signal <br />improvements on Wilson Mills Road from Lander Road to Beta Drive and declaring an <br />emergency." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring a <br />resolution to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CAI,L: AYES: All <br />` NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 91-70. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Morion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Mr. Rinker requested that Council recess into Executive Session. <br />Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a morion to go into Executive Session. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None , Morion Carried <br />Council went into Execurive Session at 8:33 p.m. <br />Council reconvened at 9:13 p.m. <br />Mr. Rinker said there may be a couple of items to add to the agenda.
