<br />Regulaz Council Meeting <br />8/19/91 <br />Page Three <br />Historical Societv - Mrs. Cinco said the security system was placed in operation. It covers <br />burglary, fire, and pump alarms. There will be an Ice Cream Social on September 11 at the <br />historical house. The quilt raffle drawing will be held at that time. Work on the historical house <br />has resumed and the completion of the hearse room is the top priority. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco said they did not meet this month. <br />Ordinance Review - Mr. Rinker reported that the committee has been meeting on a regulaz basis <br />and discussing pending legislation. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Basile said the Commission met August 7. They considered a sign <br />variance request for Dr. Eadie and recommend that Council grant a vaiiance. The Comxnission <br />rejected the patio dining request for Yours Truly. <br />Recreation - Mr. Pietrafese said the Board met July 17. They are reviewing ideas for a day camp <br />for next year. They had received some negative comments because it would interfere with other <br />activities. The craft show is coming soon. The baseball card show is also coming soon. <br />Everyone has signed up for adult softball. The softball banquet, held on August 14, was a great <br />success. The pepsi booth started to catch on. Barb Monroe has started investigating playground <br />equipment for Wiley Park. The fields will be re-dressed in the fall. The Halloween Party will be <br />held October 26. <br />Mrs. Mills said they have asked the Art Department at the High School to come up with some art <br />for us. <br />Safetv and Service - Mrs. Cinco said they met August 5. They recommend that Council approve <br />the purchase of 10 mz radios from Radio Communications Specialists. They also recommend that <br />bids be obtained for 6 air packs. Discussion was held on the feasibility of the department to act as <br />the contractor for the 3 exhaust systems. They have not received a response from Gates Mills. <br />Council will keep the "dial seniors" program in Caucus. Mrs. Cinco said Mr. Amendola has <br />obtained bids for painting the Service Department buildings and that item is awaiting approval <br />from Mayor Carmen. <br />Water District Committee - Mrs. Mills said that the first reading of Ordinance No. 91-38 is <br />included on tonight's agenda. The committee recommends that the ordinance be kept on first <br />reading because it needs to be discussed by the committee. T'here will be a Water District • <br />Committee meeting sometime this month. Mrs. Cinco suggested the agenda be included to include <br />a right-turn lane on S.O.M. Mr. Flyrin, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to amend the <br />agenda to include "right-turn lane on S.O.M. Jay is doing that himself; he <br />has not discussed this with him. He said that a proposal was made; the cost should be under <br />$5,000.
