This is just to <br />approve them being the employees. We do not have any specific time that the contracts <br />have to be dealt with. . <br />Mayor Rinker apologized. He said there are two aspects to every one of these <br />CD appointments. Theyhave contemplated an Executive Session regarding personnel. If <br />M anyone has any questions they feel need to be answered before the confirmation of <br />Q these appointments, he asked that they so indicate. <br />z Mr. Flynn said there were three that he had questions on. <br />c Mrs. Cinco said they will go into Executive Session prior to their contracts. <br />! <br />Mr. Diemert clarified that the appointments, if confirmed tonight, would be under <br />existing ordinances--not any new one until Council chooses to adopt it. They could <br />resign or Council could change their legislation and they would have to live with it or <br />leave. <br />Mr. Busa said that answered his question. <br />Mrs. Cinco said there is a motion on the table to confirm the contract employees. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Appointments Confirmed <br />: (See List on Page Two) <br />Mayor Rinker said the appointment of Bernie Samac as Building Commissioner is <br />something of a first. He explained that we are developing a new Building Department. <br />Until now, Gus Amendola has carried both responsibilities as Service Director and <br />Building Commissioner. Now the responsibilities will be split. He sees good potential <br />for development. <br />? <br />Mr. Amendola presented Bernie Samac with a gold badge. Mr. Amendola said it is the <br />badge of the Building Commissioner of Mayfield Village; and, it is yours, Bernie. <br />Mrs. Cinco said Mr. Diemert advised that the current contract employees do not have to <br />be re-sworn in, so we will move on. <br />11.
