We do not have any specific time that the contracts have to be dealt with. . Mayor Rinker apologized. He said there are two aspects to every one of these CD appointments. Theyhave contemplated an Executive Session regarding personnel. If M anyone has any questions they feel need to be answered before the confirmation of Q these appointments, he asked that they so indicate. z Mr. Flynn said there were three that he had questions on. c Mrs. Cinco said they will go into Executive Session prior to their contracts. ! Mr. Diemert clarified that the appointments, if confirmed tonight, would be under existing ordinances--not any new one until Council chooses to adopt it. They could resign or Council could change their legislation and they would have to live with it or leave. Mr. Busa said that answered his question. Mrs. Cinco said there is a motion on the table to confirm the contract employees. ROLL CALL: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Appointments Confirmed : (See List on Page Two) Mayor Rinker said the appointment of Bernie Samac as Building Commissioner is something of a first. He explained that we are developing a new Building Department. Until now, Gus Amendola has carried both responsibilities as Service Director and Building Commissioner. Now the responsibilities will be split. He sees good potential for development. ? Mr. Amendola presented Bernie Samac with a gold badge. Mr. Amendola said it is the badge of the Building Commissioner of Mayfield Village; and, it is yours, Bernie. Mrs. Cinco said Mr. Diemert advised that the current contract employees do not have to be re-sworn in, so we will move on. 11.
