The committee is looking for communication to the residents on this. They <br />also discussed the purchase of 3 police cruisers in the amount of $40,500. It is their <br />recommendation to go ahead with this. He said Chief Mohr indicated he would like to <br />go forward with an emergency response vehicle in the low $20,000 area, Chief Stevens <br />requested console recording equipment in the amount of $28-30,000. <br />Mr. Amendola explained the situation that goes on with mailboxes. Because the <br />mailboxes are packet tight with snow, the weight of the snow pulls them down. These <br />are things that are not done intentionally but snow plows or the Service Department. <br />We have 12 boxes now that they have put new posts on. They will put the mailboxes <br />back in the ground in the spring when they can put them in concrete. <br />Mr. Fixler asked if drivers tell them when they hit them. <br />Mr. Amendola said yes. <br /> <br />Mr. Ferrante said Bordonaro's have a tractor to move snow. If Gus needs some help <br />moving snow, he may have some equipment to help him. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Flynn said Mr. Ferrante is the new chairman. He asked him to <br />report. <br />Mr. Ferrante said the first topic they discussed was the 3 new police cars. <br />1) The committee agreed they should buy the cars; they feel they are needed. <br />2) Fire Dept. Explorer Vehicle -$22,000 - They do not have a problem with <br />purchasing it, however, they want to be sure Gates Mills is going to come up <br />with their half. He spoke to some people from Gates Mills who had not heard <br />about it Saturday. . <br />Chief Mohr said Chief Hughes assured him and there was no problem whenever we <br />will try to get it in writing. <br />3) Mr. Ferrante said the committee recommends approval of Ordinance No. 94-3. <br />4) They also recommend approval of Resolution 94-9. <br />5) Wiley Park Drainage Problem -$165,000 -- they feel it is in need. They will <br />leave it up to the Finance Director to find the monies to get it done. <br />6) Upper 40 - We have a grant for $427,000. They would like to see a decision <br />on that as quickly as possible.
