36
Regular Council Meeting
2/21/94
Page Two .
Mr. Hovancsek said yes, out toward the street.
Mr. LaRiche said you will have all this water going all over the sidewalk, freezing up all
over the drive, all over the sidewalk. That is not a proper way of doing something like
that.
Mayor Rinker said he had discussed this with Steve a number of months ago and had
thought, frankly, this had all been resolved. He asked Steve, for his benefit, to go back
and look at the drawings and the proposal and to see specifically what Mr. LaRiche
believes is the problem with the proposition we had made as an end result of that.
Mr. Hovancsek said he will be happy to go back through the file and dig out all the
letters.
Mr. LaRiche said okay, because he has never received a letter from Mr. Hovancsek and
he has never seen him at his house. He has asked for a meeting with Mr. Hovancsek
and Gus. Gus came and Mr. Hovancsek didn't.
Mr. Hovancsek said he discussed that with Mr. LaRiche's wife and had been there
several times.
Mr. Amendola said he hates to disagree with Bob, but Steve Hovancsek and he made
several visits to the house and checked the proper way that the yard could be drained.
They did get back to Bob. Gus said he walked his yard several times with him. Yes, if it
is going to be drained it is going to be drained across the sidewalk. Where else are you
going to put it?
Mr. LaRiche said what was so hard when he asked for a meeting with both Steve and
Gus and Gus was the only one who showed up. He said we are paying him (Steve); he
is on a retainer for this Village to take care of problems. Why can't he be there?
Mr. Amendola said it was left up to him as Building Commissioner at the tune.
Mr. LaRiche said Gus told him he would take care of his neighbors. He said Gus said
he would send them a letter; Gus didn't send the people behind them a letter stating
anything about controlling water.
Mr. Amendola said they were talking about the drainage on Mr. LaRiche's property. It
is a major subject to try to discuss the drainage that is coming down from Derby Drive
and the areas behind your house. That is something that has to be looked at and
