42 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />2/21/94 <br />Page Eight <br />11. Discussion of insurance consultants - Mr. Brett has asked for authorization to <br />contact a number of different consultants for the particular insurance for the whole <br />Village. They would like to recommend authorization tonight. <br />12. Renewal of the Health Insurance Plan for 1994. It is an additional7%, <br />approximately $13,000. They recommend that Council move ahead with that. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mrs. Cinco said they did not meet. They will be meeting <br />in April. - , <br />Historical Societv - Mr. Fixler said he attended their last meeting. Currently they have - <br />139 paid up members. They also put on a program that evening of all the old homes of <br />every President in the United States. As he and others were watching this program, '- <br />they discovered the need for a pull-down screen that other people could use as well for - <br />the community room. It is very difficult to watch slides on a sheet against the <br />blackboard. They had some discussion regarding the wall and he is sure the Mayfielcl <br />Historical Society appreciates the extra $1,000 they are being given this year. Lastly, he <br />has been given an updated report from Mr. Plastine regarding the historical house. <br />Restoration work is progressing in the south wing. Handicapped lavatory has been <br />completed with drywall installation. Five new interior doors with frames have arrived <br />and will be installed soon. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco said M.A.R.C. met February 3. They introduced their new <br />members: Terry Coffey from Mayfield Heights, Tom Comella from Highland Heights. <br />We are looking for a punt, pass and kick program to come out in March. Jim Farmer <br />will be organizing that. Our new baseball academy program was very successful with <br />43 applicants. They are staying on top of insurance and by-laws. They will have a new <br />slate of officers presented in March. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mrs. Cinco said they did not meet in February. T'hey <br />will be looking forward to meeting in March. They plan to keep Mr. Amendola with <br />them and Mr. Samac will come on board. They have lots of exciting things to propose <br />for Ordinance Review. <br />Planning and Zoninn - Mrs. Cinco said Mr. Basile was not at that meeting; she was his <br />replacement on February 7. At that time, there was much discussion with the Transcon <br />proposal. That was voted on and looked into by Mr. Diemert for their sufficient <br />parking places. Mrs. Cinco said everyone has a detailed package of minutes. Also, <br />landscape drawings for Heinens; those are being referred to Mr. Kostelec to check on <br />the plantings to make sure there is no snow damage; they will be handling that on their <br />own. The workshop was held last week. Hill Med was discussed. Council was copied <br />in. They want only preliminary talk on that tonight. They also had the master plan <br />overview again from Mr. Hinton.
