142 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />5/16/94 Page Two <br />Service - Mr. Amendola was not present. Mrs. Cinco read information and updates Mr. <br />Amendola had written regarding chips, shuffleboard courts, stump grinder, and the <br />roto-grinder. <br />Mayor Rinker said that Mr. Amendola had convened a gathering of 14 different <br />communities for a demonstration of the roto-grinder machine. It makes nice mulch (the <br />consistency of peat moss.) Mayor said he thinks it is worth the investment as a <br />recycling technique--he thinks it would pay for itself very quickly. Mayor said Council <br />should ask Mr. Amendola to go into more detail. <br />Finance - Mr. Brett said he will answer questions about subjects discussed during the <br />Finance Committee meeting during that portion of the meeting. <br />There were no comments from the other departxnent heads present. <br />Activities Committee - Mayor Rinker said the Activities Committee is currently <br />planning activities for '50s Night and the Fourth of July (fireworks). Fireworks will be <br />held on July 3. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac said the Board met May 12. Several items <br />were on the agenda, primarily fences. Most items were approved as submitted. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac reported they did not meet last month. There is a <br />meeting scheduled tomorrow evening at 7:30 p.m. <br />Ce? - Mr. Stephens said he sent a letter to the three communities requesting a <br />$1,000 contribution. His understanding is that the three communities have agreed pay. <br />Citizen's Advisory Board - Mrs. Cinco said there is a meeting scheduled for May 23, but <br />it was not included on the calendar. <br />Commission on Aginiz - Mr. Busa reported that the annual Anniversary Party will be <br />held this Saturday and noted other upcoming activities the Commission on Aging has <br />planned. <br />Safety and Service - Mr. Fixler had no report. He said there will be a meeting the first <br />Monday in June.
