143 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />5/16/94 <br />Page Three <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Ferrante said the Committee met this evening. The <br />Committee recommends Council move forward on the following agenda items: 1, 2, 3, <br />4, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 10. They do not recommend approval of item #8 at this time. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Ferrante said the Hillcrest Council of Councils met <br />CD Apri130. He reported that the attendance of the meetings is dwindling rapidly. The <br />? Council of Councils is requesting that more Council representatives come to these <br />meetings. There was a motion made to have a Legislative Committee. Tom Weber <br />Q (President) was named point person for that. <br />Z <br />? Mrs. Cinco asked for a volunteer from Council to be appointed to the Legislative <br />Committee. They are meeting Wednesday, May 25 at South Euclid City Hall. They <br />will be updating bylaws and trying to get more participation from Councilpeople. Mrs. <br />Cinco asked Council to think about it and get back to her. Mr. Ferrante will be out for a <br />while so they will need extra help to cover the Hillcrest Council of Councils meetings. <br />Historical Societv - Mr. Fixler said, at last Wednesday's meeting, Merle and Irene <br />Reynolds gave a synopsis of how this area has changed. It was a very interesting, <br />informative program. Mr. Fixler gave an update on the restoration of the Historical <br />House which Mr. Plastine had provided. About 125 people attended Arbor Day. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco said they met May 5. They discussed the track meet. <br />Unfortunately, no one showed up at the senior program they wanted to start. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mrs. Cinco said the Committee met May 10. They <br />discussed the building height and animal ordinances (both are on tonight's agenda for <br />second reading and she asked that they remain on second reading.) They also <br />discussed a change in the sign ordinance which would require a cash deposit of $100 for <br />political signs to ensure compliance. This item will come up in Caucus. Mrs. Cinco said <br />they will be updating the fence ordinance also. These items have been before A.R.B. <br />and P&Z. <br />Planning and ZoniLig - Mr. Basile said the Commission met May 2. They talked about <br />94-20 and 94-21. They also discussed the Progressive sign. This item was also discussed <br />at the Apri121 Workshop and he believes it will be discussed at the next Workshop. <br />meeting. <br />Mr. Samac said he believes that was the intent; however, he has not received anything <br />yet.
