144 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />5/16/94 <br />Page Four <br />Mrs. Cinco said she wants Council's input regarding the Master Plan and suggests they <br />attend the P&Z Workshop. She explained that is why the legislation is not on third <br />reading (on the agenda) this evening. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Stephens had no report. <br />UR12er 40 <br />Mr. Cappello said the survey crews came out to stake the property. Regarding the <br />Wetland Study, EDP had planned to go out last week, but has not been able to do so. <br />T'hey feel they can do that in a half-day. Then, we will take the proposal from EDP to <br />initialize the soil borings. <br />Mr. Fixler asked if we are still on schedule for July 1st. <br />Mr. Cappello said we are four weeks behind schedule. Hopefully, we can get through <br />O.D.N.R. quicker (than anticipated). <br />Mr. Stephens asked if we can do something about this. <br />Mayor Rinker said we will follow up on it. <br />Mr. Cappello said the property limit is staked. <br />Mrs. Cinco asked if there is any reason why they can't send the appraiser in. <br />Mr. Cappello said no. <br />Mr. Merkel (in the audience) said he wants to make sure the Village is aware of the <br />article that appeared in the Wall Street Journal on May 6: "Rain Now Worries Building <br />Owners. He said there is a possibility of legislation that will require commercial <br />properties to be responsible for the volume and quality of the run-off. Beta Drive <br />property owners will have to put detention on their own land. Mr. Merkel said that <br />might make the Upper 40 detention basin obsolete. Mr. Merkel asked to read the article <br />to Council. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said for the last couple of years Mayfield Village has required new <br />commercial construction to have detention basins.
