182 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />6/20/94 <br />Page Twenty-ttivo <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 94-39, entitled; "An emergency ordinance authorizing <br />the purchase of a roto grind tub grinder and a one hundred seventy-five horse power <br />diesel without the necessity of public bidding for the sum thirty-six thousand dollars." <br />Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: Mr. Basile, Mr. Busa, and Mrs. Cinco <br />NAYS: Mr. Fixler, Mr. Flynn, and Mr. Stephens <br />Motion Not Carried <br />Mr. Diemert said since there were not sufficient votes to suspend the rules, this <br />ordinance will remain on first reading. <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 9440, entitled; "An emergency ordinance declaring the <br />necessity and intention to appropriate fee simple, and permanent and temporary <br />easement, interests in the premises known as permanent parcel numbers 831-28-001 and <br />831-30-001 for construction and maintenance of a water detention facility. <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Fixler, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 94-40. <br />Mrs Peirce U1212er Foa resident in the audience - said she would like to know why <br />number 94-33 is listed twice. She would also like to know why they go in Caucus; that <br />is the place they hear everything that has to do with taking their land. Also, Mrs. Peirce <br />said they just finished voting something and she would like them to know that they <br />voted on something that they do not know what they voted on. <br />Mayor Rinker explained there is a motion to suspend which allows discussion. <br />Mr. Diemert explained that Ordinance No. 94-33 is to authorize the Engineer to prepare <br />plans and to advertise for bids for the contractors to do the job. <br />I'I <br />?J <br /> <br />?
