;166 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />6/20/94 " <br />Page Six <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac said they met June 9 and considered 5 cases <br />consisting of additions, decks, and a swimming pool. <br />Board of A1212eals - Mr. Samac said they met June 14. They heard a request for a <br />variance for a side yard setback of five feet. That variance was considered and granted <br />by the Board of Zoning Appeals for an addition to a house at 6674 Seneca. <br />Cemet rTv - Mr. Stephens had no report. <br />Citizen's Advisory Board - Mrs. Cinco said they met May 23. She has not received <br />minutes yet. <br />Commission on AgiLig - Mr. Busa asked Mr. Flynn to give the report submitted to him <br />by Eunice Kalina. <br />Mr. Flynn said the Anniversary Party was held on May 21, bocce started June 2, today is <br />the first picnic. Cards and crafts continue to meet on alternate Tuesdays. Mrs. Kalina <br />has been exploring various possibilities for providing transportation for Senior and <br />disabled citizens for medical appointments, shopping and other necessary trips. At this <br />time there is nothing definite yet arrived at, but possibilities are being examined. <br />Mr. Flynn, Mr. Busa and Mrs. Cinco asked the Clerk of Council to ask Eunice Kalina to <br />either submit a typewritten report or to submit the handwritten report to Donna or Tina <br />so it could be typed and highlighted before the meeting (so it will be easier to read.) <br />Safety and Service - Mr. Fixler said the committee met June 6. Discussion was held <br />regarding the two trucks for the Service Department. The members that attended Safety <br />and Service (Mark and Vince) were in favor of purchasing these two trucks. The <br />purchase of a grinder was discussed and Mr. Amendola's request for $5,000 to rent <br />grinding equipment from C&E. There is no way this machine would arrive in time to <br />do us any good. Discussion was helcl regarding a message board to be placed outside <br />near the gazebo area. Redwood and brick frames were discussed. Gus will get back to <br />fhem with prices. The Fire Department purchased 8 SCBA packs at $1,600 (each) with <br />Willoughby Hills. (Six of them will be for Mayfield Village.) Chief Mohr would like the <br />sprinkler ordinance referred to the Ordinance Review Committee. Chief Mohr would <br />like an ordinance requiring a landlord to inform the Village of a new tenant 30 days <br />prior to a turnover. This would give us ample opportunity to inspect for any violations <br />and make sure the new business conforms to Village code. The members who were at <br />Safety and Service were in favor of amending our ordinance. Chief Stevens is thinking <br />about requesting one additional full-time officer.
