192
Special Council Meeting
7/5/94
Page Six
ANY OTHER MATTER TO COME BEFORE COUNCIL
Mr. Basile said he has received complaints from several of his neighbors on Metro Park
Drive that people are cutting their grass at 6:45-7 a.m. on Saturday. He has received
additional complaints that a resident has been nailing on Saturday morning at 7 a.m.
Resolution No. 94-6: Mr. Diemert said Council adopted Resolution No. 94-6, relative to
the Director of Finance's compensation, on March 21. The second version of the
legislation had a typographical error in the biweekly-weekly rate of pay which did not
coincide with the annual payment which was agreed upon by Council and adopted.
Mr. Diemert said since it is inconsistent, it is his opinion that they should pay the annual
salary of $51,396. If that is what Council understood, he would like that to be reflected
in the minutes tonight. Mr. Diemert said they can make typographical corrections
without Council's vote on it; he just wanted it to be reflected in the minutes that there
are no objections. He will correct the original and distribute a revised version for re-
signature.
'I'here were no objections.
CLOSING CONIMENTS
Mayor Rinker said he will be gone next week. He knows Council has been looking into
a replacement for Ward 4. He had a pleasant discussion with Bill Buckholtz; he has
submitted a letter expressing his interest. Mayor Rinker said he is sincere and has some
real good ideas.
Mr. Hovancsek said he received a short memo from the Service Director regarding
sidewalk inspection indicating that there are 168 sections of sidewalk that need some
type of adjustment or replacement. He asked if Council is of the mind to do anything
with sidewalks this year.
Mrs. Cinco said yes. They discussed it at Caucus and Gus said he would have that
ready for them. She asked that he give the information to Council in their packets
Friday.
