227
MINUTES OF SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
Mayfield Village
August 19,1994
The Council of Mayfield Village met in Special Session on Friday, August 19,1994, at
eight-thirty five a.m. (8:35 a.m.) in the Council Chambers at Village Hall. Council
President Joanne Cinco presided.
?
Present: Santo Basile
joanne Cinco
Q Wallace Ferrante
? Mark Fixler
C Lawrence Flynn
C William Buckholtz
Absent: Vince Busa
Also Present: Mayor Bruce Rinker
Phil Brett
Tom Cappello
Dorothy Martin, Acting Clerk
PURPOSE OF THE MEETING: To consider additional expenditures for the Wiley Park
drainage channel (and any other matter that may come before Council.)
Nlrs. Cinco stated that most of the Council members were at Wiley Park to take a look at
the measures they want to incorporate into the project. She had indicated to Sandy
Basile that if he had any input, to let her know. She questioned if this was to be an
emergency approval of the $15,000.00 to cover the additional work.
Mayor Rinker stated this is a modification to the original plan. He was of the opinion
that everyone should understand that this is over and above the initial work. It is an
add on to the initial contract. The approval should be "not to exceed $15,000.00." The
extra rock is worthwhile; it will be a means of erosion control, water detention to some
extent, and it will add to the longevity and aesthetics of the project. With some
plantings added, it will enhance the park. The rock is huge and should not get shuffled
around by the water flow nor vandalized by children using the park.
Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Flynn, made a motion to authorize an additional
expenditure not to exceed $15,000 for extra work on the Wiley Park drainage ditch.
(Original contract awarded per Ordinance 94-38 on June 20,1994.)
