228 <br />Special Council Meeting <br />8/17/94 <br />Page Two <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />Mrs. Cinco stated prior to September 1,1994, new rules and regulations for the <br />Community Room need to be in effect. The open house (to show the renovated room) <br />will be held on Thursday. She has spoken to Donna and the items to be incorporated <br />are as follows: <br />Security Deposit to be increased to $150.00, refunded in 30 Days; <br />Security Guard required when alcohol is being served; <br />Parties with over 50 people must have a security guard; <br />No smoking will be permitted in the room. <br />Mrs. Cinco stated that all other municipal buildings are non-smoking facilities and this <br />will bring this room into compliance. <br />Mr. Ferrante questioned enforcement of the rules and if the rental fees will be increased. <br />Mrs. Cinco stated the police and security officers will need to carefully check the room, <br />including walking into the restrooms. <br />Discussion was held on the different groups that have caused problems in the past. It <br />was the consensus of opinion that these groups be denied use of the room. <br />Mrs. Cinco stated the approval this evening will be by motion only; details and <br />legislation will be forthcoming from the Law Director. <br />Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to approve the amendments to the <br />Community Room Rules, Regulations and Fees to be effective September 1,1994 as <br />stated by Council President Cinco.
