240 <br />Regular Council Meeting . <br />9/19/94 , <br />Page Eight <br />Commission on Aging - Mr. Busa said the Director of Human Services /Commission on <br />Aging) reports that they had a trip to Jacobs Field in August, a picnic in September, and <br />are looking forward to a tour of the new Plain Dealer facility in October. The flu shot <br />program is scheduled for October 24. <br />Safety and Service - Mr. Fixler said Chief Stevens requested annual physicals for the <br />Police Department. At that point, Safety and Service was in favor 3-0 to go ahead. This <br />item should be includecl on an upcoming Council Caucus agenda to discuss it further. <br />They discussed the fencing that will go around Wiley creek. They understand that Mr. <br />Amendola will be getting new quotes. They also discussed Chief Stevens' request for <br />logging equipment and look forward to having the information for the next meeting. <br />Chief Stevens said he will have it for Caucus. <br />Finance Committee -1VIr. Ferrante said the committee met this evening and discussed <br />the following: <br />1) Ordinance 94-37 (RCU) - They recommend leaving on first reading (would like <br />further discussion before approved.) <br />2) Authorization of expenditure of $4,950 to Bradco Construction - they recommend <br />approval. <br />3) Resolution No. 94-35 (EDP) - They recommend approval (capping at $10,000) <br />4) Fencing at Wiley Park - They are expecting new estimates from Gus. <br />5) Police Console - They recommend approval, but are also waiting for solid estimates. <br />6) Resolution 94-38 (Issue II) - They recommend approval. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Ferrante said there was no report. <br />Historical Societv - Mr. Fixler said the new wooden ceiling in the dining room is about <br />80% installed; the new window in the bedroom has been installed; the ceiling work in <br />the bedroom has begun. The Ice Cream Social was successful--over 190 people <br />attended. The biannual Quilt Show will be held October 7, 8, & 9 in the Mayfield <br />Village Community Room. They are raffling a hearts and patches quilt. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco said their first Punt, Pass and Kick (new program) was to be held <br />this past Saturday. The M.A.R.C. Art Show will be October 15 and 16. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mrs. Cinco said they have been on vacation the last few <br />months. A number of inembers have been working on the Master Plan and will be <br />ready to go back to Planning and Zoning with ideas.
