251 <br />Special Council Meeting . . <br />9/26/94 <br />Page Three <br />Mayor Rinker explained the two types of fencing and where they would be located. He <br />said the chain link fence that will go along both sides of the ditch is of immediate <br />concern. If the concern is that this is too much money right now, it can be done in two <br />phases. <br />(D Discussion was held. <br />C'7 <br />CO Mrs. Cinco asked Council's desire in approving just the vinyl-coated chain link fence <br />Q (and they could do the project in two phases); or, if they would like to go ahead with the <br />z entire proposal (including the board on board fencing.) <br />c Mayor Rinker said the Recreation Board is meeting Wednesday night. They have been <br />contemplating putting in a volleyball court and; if so, we would need a gate in the <br />board on board fence--which would change the price. He asked if Council would <br />accept the bid with the understanding that they may have to explore a modification of <br />the addition of a gate in the board on board fencing. <br />Mr. Fixler, seconded by 1VIr. Buckholtz, made a motion to accept the informal bid from <br />Able Fence Company for fencing (vinyl chain link and board on board)--with <br />modifications if needed--at Wiley Park. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Bid Accepted <br />Note: The amount of the bid was $8,895.00. Mr. Amendola to check with Able Fence <br />about adding a gate in the board on board fence. If there is a charge to add a gate, the <br />price quoted may have to be modifed. <br />Mr. Amendola asked about a ramp fence for the pavilion. <br />Mrs. Cinco said Council could discuss this item at the October Caucus. <br />Mr. Amendola asked for authorization to purchase salt. He said he would like to see <br />the salt bin full in case bad weather hits us. He would like to purchase salt from both <br />companies and has received <br />Mrs. Cinco asked for a motion from Council to accept the bid from Morton Salt so we <br />can fill our bins in anticipation of bad weather.
