250
Regular Council Meeting
9/26/94
Page Two
Mr. Brett said he has it set up on the computer (with various configurations) so they can
wait until the last minute to determine which scenario to go with. At this time, unless
he hears compelling arguments to the contrary, he belives they should go with a 20%
grant and a 40% loan.
Mr. Fixler said he agrees with Mr. Brett that half a loaf is better than no loaf at all. He
believes that would be the right formula and thinks it is important that Council goes
along with the $135,000 figure. This is something that particular area is entitled to and
he thinks it would be good judgement on Council's part to go along with it.
Mr. Ferrante said he thinks this is a great opportunity for the Village to help the
residents of the Village who need it. This is an awfully high expense for any one
household to withstand.
Mrs. Cinco said the purpose of the meeting tonight is to, by motion, approve the
application with our ten percent contribution. She said the Lepplas were busy over the
weekend with a petition and asked Mrs. Leppla (in the audience) to present the petition
to Council.
Mrs. Leppla said they have 84 signatures. She thanked Mr. Vara and Mrs. Oviatt and
Mr. and Mrs. Phillips (for getting signatures.)
Mrs. Cinco commended Mr. Brett on the research he has done and the hard work he has
put forth for this project.
1VIr. Busa; seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made a motion to authorize the Village's
application for Issue II funding for Worton Park sewers to have a municipal
contribution of ten percent (10°/a).
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Authorization Given
Mr. Buckholtz expressed thanks to Bob Stephens for his assistance. Mr. Stephens had
been concerned how it would affect each household.
Mrs. Cinco said she would like Council to consider Wiley Park fencing at this time. She
said Mr. Amendola has some figures ready for Council; Mayor Rinker had requested
this be put on the agenda since we need to do something soon.
Mr. Amendola distributed packets of information to Council.
