,. ..,?., F :..5..
281
Regular Council Meeting
11/21/94
Page Seven
,
There were no objections.
Additional Street Lighting - Aixitree Park Drive -Mrs. Cinco said Lt. Jay had looked into
this at the request of the citizen. C.E.I. had come up with a proposal for eight lights at a
total cost of $4,227.
?
M Mr. Fixler asked if anyone in the neighborhood may object because they don't like street
CO lights.
z Mayor Rinker said if he is suggesting sending out a note soliciting input--he believes
? that would be a good idea.
A brief discussion was held.
Mrs. Cinco referred this item to Safety and Service. She said it will also be discussed at
the next Caucus. A special meeting could be scheduled sf necessary.
1995 Police Cars - Mrs. Cinco said Chief Stevens suggested (in anticipation of a short
supply by the State Cooperative Plan) that Council authorize advertisement of bids for
the purchase of three or four 1995 police cars.
Chief Stevens explained that he wants to be in a position that if we find a cheaper car
than the cheapest car the State can sell us, from a local vendor, that we can go in that
direction.
Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Fixler, made a motion to authorize the Clerk of Council to
advertise for bids for three or four 1995 police cars.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Authorization Given
N.O.A.C.A. Point of Access Studv - Mrs. Cinco said she has talked to Mr. McClung,
Council President of Highland Heights; he will be discussing a proposal with them
tomorrow night. This impacts both of our cities to share to expense. The total is $20,000
so our share would be $10,000. She will be anxious to hear from Mr. McClung on
Wednesday and will let Council know.
