Copy Products, Inc. for the purchase of a copy machine.
Mr. Flynn stated a correction to his Finance Committee report--the bottom-line amount
would be $2,500.
Mr. Busa said this is the end result of subjects that do not go through Safety and Service;
he questioned why it had not gone to Safety and Service.
Mrs. Cinco said she does not believe this would be an item for Safety and Service; the
Finance Committee discussed it.
Mr. Flynn asked if this was a good brand.
Mr. Brett said it is like purchasing a camera or a computer. Different people swear by a
particular brand; different people swear at it.
Mr. Fixler questioned the warranty available for a demo machine.
Mr. Brett said he does not think the warranty is as big an issue as the actual service
contract.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Expenditure Authorized
Motion to authorize the release of the retainage for the 1994 as?halt street reRair
program to Velotta Paving in the amount of $662.80 Mr. Hovancsek said this is a
routine procedure. When a contractor finishes a project and work is acceptable, the
municipality generally releases the 4% retained. At this time, we feel their work is
acceptable (it is completed) and the 4% should be paid to the contractor.
Mr. Brett said this doesn't necessarily go to Council, I just developed this so you know
when you are signing off on a project. He will generally just make them aware he is
releasing the retainage for the project.
