Special Council Meeting
1/7/93
Page 5
Mr. Rinker said we have also talked about going to Gates Mills.
Mayor Pietrafese said he talked briefly with Mayor Collister, he has conveyed that he
would pass this onto Council; he does not foresee it being a problem but we will have
to wait for a commitment. Also, he talked to Louis Bloomfield who indicated there
won't be a problem. However, we should plan to take the commitment on ourselves for
now.
Mayor Pietrafese said he wanted to state that this is a dual purpose iruck; it is a ladder
truck and a pumper.
Mr. Rinker said we must replace Pumper 613 no matter what.
Mr. Flynn asked Chief Mohr if he could contact ISO to find out what impact this has on
our insurance rate.
Chief Mohr said he would like to do some research regarding the ISO rating. It is his
opinion that we will not receive extra points by purchasing this truck but it should keep
our rating from decreasing.
Mr. Brett said he just talked to the Law Director and if Council would like, they could
pass the ordinance tonight with the contingencies that the first payment is twelve
months after receipt of the truck, and at the end of the five years there is a zero balance.
Discussion was held regarding whether or not the vehicle would be titled to Mayfield
Village.
Mr. Brett said at the end of the lease payment, they should send the original title back to
us.
Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made a motion to amend Ordinance 93-1 to
include the contingencies as stated by the Finance Director (1) that the first payment is
twelve months after receipt of the truck, (2) that there will be a zero balance at the end
of the five years.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Ordinance Amended
