Regular Council Meeting <br />2/15/93 <br />Page Seven <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Update on Ward Districting (Engineer, Steve Hovancsek) - Mr. Hovancselc said he is <br />behind on the ward districting map but will proceed with that. He has received the <br />census information and will make an effort to get it together in the next couple of <br />vveeYcs. <br />Mrs. Cinco asked when this has to be approved. <br />Discussion was held about the deadline for submittal to the Board of Elections. <br />Mr. Diemert said it is too late for the May primary election but if they get it done by <br />May, it would be fine for November. The Board of Elections will notify people if their <br />district changes. <br />Mayor Rinker asked if the map he had drawn up originally was a suggestion based on <br />the 1990 census. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said they had done it based on the old map and modified it to what a <br />new possible consideration would be. He did not have the data from the 1990 census at <br />that time, but he has that information now. <br />Seconcl Reading of Ordinance No. 93-3, entitled; "An emergency ordinance creating <br />Chapter 1175 of the Codified Ordinances pertaining to the protection of hillside <br />development." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. (First Reading <br />1/18/93; Referred to P&Z--on their 2/18/93 workshop agenda.) <br />Mrs. Cinco said Ordinance No. 93-3 will be on the workshop agenda for the Planning <br />and Zoning meeting this Thursciay. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Concession Trailer - Mrs. Cinco said the Finance Committee looked at this and asked if <br />they had to go out immediately for this. She aslced if there are other places that might <br />have that particular trailer. She thinks they want to reconsider this for a while. She <br />asked if Mr. Amendola has more information or pictures to pass it along to Council. <br />Mr. Amendola said the trailer they were originally considering is gone. <br />Financing for Fire Truck - Mr. Diemert said Councfl should have note legislation if that <br />is their consensus. They need something to change the financing arrangements.
