Regular Council Meeting <br />2/15/93 <br />Page Six <br />Recreation (continued) - Mr. Fixler reported the Board discussed their having a petfy <br />cash funci and would like to have further discussion with the Finance Director about <br />setting it up. The Craft Show will be held November 27, 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the <br />Service Building. L.etters have been sent to crafters. Tkiey will be in contact with the <br />Garden Club about the craft show. They are working on a shuttle between 1Vlount <br />Vernon and the service garage. Eight teams will be playing the Men's Over 35 <br />Basketball. They have taken in over $1,000 from this league. The criteria for the <br />playground program has expanded and may require an increase in salary. They will <br />talk with the Finance Director to make sure funds will be available. They must have an <br />on-site manager at the swim program this year, to be paid $11 per hour so you can look <br />for an increase in the cost of the swim program. Recreation had a special meeting with <br />Mr. Amendola to discuss the land adjacent to the pavilion. He will be giving the Board <br />a detailed plan in the near future. They will try to utilize the VOICE OF THE VILLAGE <br />in terms of getting the word out so they do not have to pay the extra $300 (for delivery <br />of fliers) to get them out. <br /> <br />Recreation Silver Anniversary Committee - There was no report. <br />Safety and Service - Mrs. Cinco said they discussed the police cars and blazer. She <br />asked if there was any update on the disposal of the old pumper. <br />Chief Mohr asked if they wanted the report now or to wait for the Safety and Service <br />1Vleeting. <br />Mrs. Cinco said this item, along with station cleaning bids, will be cliscussed at the next <br />Safety and Service meeting. <br />Mrs. Cinco said they discusseci the International one and a half ton Dump Truck; <br />$36,000 was budgeted last year. According to Mr. Amendola, International is the only <br />one that handles this type of truclc. <br />Mr. Flynn asked if there is any way to look around (maybe check with larger <br />communities like Cleveland Heights,) to possibly find more dealers who may have <br />what you are looking for. He asked if anything is available from the State, and if he <br />would check out of State also. <br />Mr. Amendola said International makes the most durable heavy truck. <br />Water District Committee - Mrs. Cinco said everyone was notified of a meeting this <br />Wednesday morning at 8:30 here.
