_. ._.... __ _ . . _ 5 _ <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />2/15/93 <br />Page Five <br />Finance Committee (continued) - Mr. Flynn said the committee needs more information <br />about the concession trailer. They reviewed the formula for court charges with the <br />Chief, and got an update on the wage ordinance. They recommend waiting for a <br />statement from Mr. Tribby on the S.P.A.N. allotment of $5,000 per year. The committee <br />discussed the International Dump Truck and equipment. Mr. Flynn asked if Mr. <br />Amendola could get more specific information and specifications that might be more <br />amenable to more bidders-maybe checking with other communities or out of state for <br />other possible vendors. Mr. Flynn said the committee also talked about Cablevision anci <br />it would like Council to authorize Joe Diemert to file an application with other cities <br />regarding Cablevision and get approval and recognition from the FCC so they could be <br />stronger in dealing with cable companies. <br />Mayor Rinker said he attend the S.P.A.N. Meeting and the Mayors approved the <br />budget. There was an incident in the last week or so where a S.P.A.N. unit was <br />involved. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Ferrante said there was no report. <br />Historical Societv - Mr. Busa gave a progress report about work in the historical house; <br />(painting and wallpapering have been done.) The Arbor Day celebration will be held <br />Apri130 at 10 a.m. at the Bennett VanCuren house with the Mayfield Village Garden <br />Club. Mr. Busa said he is in favor of making this contribution as soon as they can. <br />Mrs. Cinco said this item is on the agenda tonight. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco said they met February 4. One of the new activities is scheduled <br />for February 19. Election of officers will be held at their March meeting. <br />Ordinance Review - Mrs. Cinco said she believes they are still going to do that. <br />Mayor Rinker said it is under consideration; he thinks in another month they should <br />have something set up. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mrs. Cinco said she was a stand-in for Sandy Basile who was out <br />of town. She gave a brief report for February 1st, they discussed the rezoning request <br />that was given first reading February 1st; the Public Hearing will be held March 5 at <br />8:30 a.m. They approved a lot split in Village Trails. Heinen's, the hillside ordinance, <br />and the Jefferson properiy is on the workshop agenda. <br />Recreation - Mr. Fixler said the Board met January 20. Shelly Kovacevic was elected <br />Director; Terry Santoro, Secretary; Pat Andrzejczyk, Treasurer.
